The gate opener (operator) is the motorized system that automates your gate. Choosing the right operator depends on your gate type, size, weight, and how frequently it’s used. We install and service all major gate operator brands.

Sizing the Operator

A gate operator is rated for the gate’s weight and length and for how many times a day it will cycle. Under-sizing is the most common cause of early failure, so we size to the gate, not the budget. The gate itself also has to move freely — a binding or sagging gate will burn out even a correctly sized operator, so we correct that first.

Installation

• Operator mounted to a proper post or pad and aligned to the gate
• Power run to the operator, or a solar kit for remote locations
• Safety sensors installed and tested
• Remotes, keypad and any intercom or app control programmed
• Manual release demonstrated so you can open the gate during an outage

Quality operators last 10–20 years with annual maintenance — lubrication, chain or belt tension, safety sensor and battery backup tests, and electrical checks. The operator carries its manufacturer warranty; our labor is covered for 1 year. Gate operator service starts with our $125 service call, applied toward the work.
